The Tower

In Holm’s empty square surrounded by tall buildings, stood a mage. His robes were dark, adorned with intricate symbols and runes, and his eyes glowed with an otherworldly light. He stood there, silent and motionless, staring up at one of the towers that rose high above the surrounding buildings.

From tower's windows, a red light emanated, casting an eerie glow over the square. It was a beacon that could be seen from far and wide, drawing the eyes of all who beheld it.

As a mage, he was attuned to the ebb and flow of magic in the world, and he could sense a disturbance in the fabric of reality.

The mage knew that he must investigate the tower and discover the source of the red light. It was a dangerous task, for the tower was rumored to be cursed, and few who entered it ever returned. But the mage was determined to unravel the mystery and put an end to whatever lies inside.

As the task was done and the mage left the tower, the glow was no there. Instead it now shone from within him.
