Not all is smooth sailing for the underground workers.  On certain worlds, they encounter resistance from beings who dwell underground.  One such example is a female being known as the Cave Witch.  She dwells deep in the caves of one world.  No one can locate her.  She appears and disappears at will.

She terrorizes the underground invaders with warped spells and charms.  Many workers have vanished into thin air thanks to her.  The Scientist King wants her captured alive.

Overseeing all the underground workers is a fiendish masked being.  Known as the Grinning Foreman, he exerts iron control over the workers.  It's for good reason, too.  The Foreman was a being who defied the Scientist King, was captured, and experimented on.  His master placed a special mask on him that fused to his skin.  This mask keeps him under his master's full control.  He has no thoughts other than to obey.

It's not uncommon for foolhardy/desperate individuals to try and steal some of the resources the underground giants bring up.  This decision will be their last.  The Scientist King employs hulking Guards to mind his items.  These Guards are beings enhanced through careful experimentation.  They take their task very seriously.

The Cave Witch isn't the only being causing havoc underground.  Under a different world's surface dwells a mysterious male god.  He lives in the heart of an expansive cave system.  His true identity have remained elusive.  Unlike the Cave Witch, this god prefers seeing the life fade from the intruders personally.  Many underground workers have wound up dead or destroyed thanks to him.  The Scientist King also wants him captured alive.
