Not my norm', huh!?

This is me saying: "Okay ... I'll give ya' a shot .. but my way!" to today's "Wasteland Survivors" challenge.

She really came to life in the studio.

Emotions are what we are actually portraying when a portrait connects with other people. I always start from the emotional context; as if the emotion itself were the subject.

Sometimes this comes across as to real or intense for folks. That seems to be what's happening here in the daily challenge. It doesn't appear she's being embraced. People like their fantasy and science fiction to be ... well fantasy and fiction.

I may have my different take on that estimation .. but in this hour, still a ways under the weather, I will simply embrace this warmly within the sincere intention by which it was offered.

I'm with you there! I like it on several levels and yes, it was a very rare response of developing something spaked up by a daily challenge. Yet, as ever, it proved way too "real" for the Kindergarten crowd here who like thei Fantasy & SciFi soft and unreal.

But, if not for the theme she'd not exist.

Exactly, I have many off centre images that do not resonate with the crowd, but I adore them. Most of my favourites come about from challenges where they don't do particularly well, but I then use it as a springboard for exploratory adventures 🤣 I have a new collection of 5 and 10 word prompt creations. Not sure if I've put it on my bio yet but its significant as an ideas generation tool. That's where Neurographic Ink came from.

Those would be your "outcast" images.
