Afanc

Afanc look somewhat like a cross between a crocodile and a wolverine. They grow to be 4.5 to 5 meters long, and weigh 900 to 1,100 kilograms. They are large mammalian omnivores with a long body and thick tail like a crocodile, but are covered in thick water repellant fur and their legs extend beneath them like mammals, rather than being splayed out to the sides like reptiles. Afancs have a strong musky smell. They are utterly fearless, ferocious fighters, and indifferent to pain, and are also highly resistant to toxins. While there is no Imperial bounty on them, a community that is being troubled by afanc attacks might issue a bounty for those afanc in the area. Further, their fur is prized. The pelt of an afanc is worth up to 8 scepters. The two musk glands are worth about 2 scepters each. They are found on Rhye, Hyperborea/Thule, Avalon, Buyan, and Blechen.
