Definitely agree. This is pne of the best communities I have been on online, which says a lot for are involved with running it. Many thanks.
speaking of which, while I'm sure it is a thankless job, yes - I do wish the accounts and creations of staff and moderators (volunteer or otherwise) were marked as such. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. Y'all are often easy to spot, but the rest of us are at a significant structural disadvantage. That, or maybe not let staff and mods compete in the daily challenges, etc.
I'm not sure how I was being avant garde, but okay.
Again, I am not sure where you are getting the data you are making your assumptions off of, but it's wrong and I think you have a very skewed perspective of what a mod can and cannot do.
There are very few mods compared to how many you would think and I can't fathom how being a mod would give someone an unfair advantage on the site.
All users including mods are expected to follow the community standards and all mods were asked to help out by being helpful to others prior to becoming a mod.
If you have proof that any mod is exploiting the sit someway as an advantage please feel free to let me know as I will investigate it and if true hold them to the same coals anyone is expected to be held to.
Have a great day, and if you ever have any questions please reach out, mods are here to to help, not hinder.
I just hit 5k after about 3.5 years of being in the community I reached 4000 followers on December 31st 2022 because it was a goal of mine to get there before January 1st 2023. Me being a mod had nothing to do with how many followers I have because users who follow me are based on the art I make not my actions as a community moderator. 👀
There are I think 20 maybe 30 community mods if that that I recall, and some of them aren't active on the site as much any more, So about 99% of those I follow are not mods. I don't think of us have a graphics art degree...
The only prompts we look at are the ones that we investigate for breaking the Community Standards and most I wouldn't touch with a 10 ft pole 🤢, let alone steal, because they are vile and those users are warned and sanctioned not copied off of.
You're making a lot of assumptions with your claims, do you have proof of these moderator only chatrooms you speak of where we boost each other because I would love to be invited to it.
You're doing a great job.
Moderators are all volunteer users who don't have any advantage over any other user when it comes to creating content, our chances at daily challenges/community challenges or traction/visibility on the site. We are here to help enforce the community rules around users behavior and content creation.
Additionally, We have the ability to flag our creation comments and chat comments with the mod flag when we need to speak or act as a moderator (as I did with this one), however outside of that we are bound to the same rules, site settings and expectations that any other user has. Since I'm more often using the site as an artist and a community member more than I actively moderate, I don't think all of my comments and profile need to be flagged as such.
I am curious about what kind of disadvantage you feel you are at?
so, you got over 5k followers and 66k likes just by being a good artist? Over how many years? Mods like and promote each other's work; mods *largely don't follow others back (unless they're mods, too). What % of the 917 that you follow are staff/mods? Also, yes - in fact some do look at and build off other's closed prompts. Aside from the fact that many have graphic arts (etc) training that knuckle draggers like us don't, they also use moderator chat rooms and other methods to boost themselves and each other. This is a two-tier community you're enforcing. Also, as a collective group, your standards are inconsistently applied and enforced to the point of being a sad joke, but that's a separate issue.
Bro, seriously? That's comedy gold. But I do get it..."not all mods". Of course not. Thanks for engaging. I wish I could be as avant garde. Maybe someday.
Very cute fox, your art is always beautiful… The staff and mods are great! I’m so glad I found NightCafe.
Nicely said, adansito! My sentiments as well! Keep it up, my friend...

Excellent sentiment and an adorable creature as well, as usual

"A hyper-realistic digital artwork of an adorable cute fox sitting on the ground, looking directly at the viewer with big and blue, expressive eyes. The fox is holding a big sign that says "Thank You Staff & Mods". The fur of the fox is dense and textured, with each hair finely detailed and shimmering with tiny sparks under a dimly lit night sky. Sakura petals fall around it, adding to the magical, serene atmosphere. The scene is set on a rough textured surface that resembles the wood. The color palette is dominated by shades of blue, emphasizing a chilly, enchanting ambiance"
