To hear the natives talk, whoever, whatever he is, he was here when the first peoples made this land their homes. The stories and legends have been passed down from grandfather to father to son, for as far back as anyone can remember. They dare not speak the name the first people's were given to call upon him by, lest it draw his eye and attract his unwanted attention.

"He who was old when the world was young. Who comes at the spilling of much blood. Always hungry to spill more of it. Who must drag another into the grave from where he comes and to which he must always return."
