Rune and Chrys

Rune was born into a tribe of fierce warriors, deep in the mountains.

One day, while on a hunting trip, Rune stumbled upon a silvery white dragon caught in a trap. She had never seen a dragon like this before. "What a trophy this will be", she thought to herself. As she stared and studied the creature, she became moved by the dragon's plight. Conflicted by her bred hatred and fear of dragons from her youth, as she had lost many friends and family members to dragon fire, she found herself at a crossroads of compassion and duty. The glowing creature seemed to beg her for freedom with cries and haunting sounds. Her heart could not take anymore, she sprang into action, trying to free the beast. As she struggled with all her might to free it, it burst into sparkles of brilliance before her. Blinded for a moment, the creature revealed itself to her as Chrys, and vowed its spirit to Rune. "Where there once was only darkness, let there be light."
