Frostwillow Shrubs

Description: Frostwillows are compact, resilient shrubs rarely exceeding 3 feet in height. Their slender, drooping branches are densely covered with a soft, silvery fuzz that glistens like frost crystals in morning light. This fuzz traps moisture from the frequent coastal mists and early frost, creating a humid microclimate around the leaves. The leaves themselves are narrow and elongated, dark green with a thick, glossy waxy coating that reflects harsh sunlight and prevents water loss in the cold, dry air.
