“Go ahead and sit down,” Larkin said. Helena hesitated for a moment recalling her first time with the Ancient Chair on Zulu Station.
“Alright, Sister,” Cate said gently but firmly, “take a seat in the chair.”
Sister Helena hesitated, her wide eyes darting to the alien device. “I—I don’t know if I can...”
“You can,” Cate assured her, a small, encouraging smile breaking through her otherwise stern demeanor. “Trust me, it won’t bite.”
Helena pictured Cate standing next to her in the frigate’s Chair Room. The Australian woman smiled and gave a thumbs up and said, “You’ve got this, Mate!”
Helena slowly sat down. Immediately the back turned a shade of light blue, as well as the floor around the chair. The Chair itself reclined, startling Helena once again. Her palms became warm as she placed them on the armrests.

Larkin went to one of the Monitors. “All right, Let's see what we've got here. Helena, try to bring up the Weapons status.”
“I’ll try, sir,” Helena replied. She remembered what Cate said. “It’s all mental, mate.” So, Helena thought of how many drones were available to her.
“Drone inventory shows three hundred eighty-four units remaining… though half the launch cells are offline. Oh! We've got a compliment of five railguns. However, two seem to be inoperative.”
“Understood,” Larkin said.
“Larkin, come in,” said Fairbairn.
“Go ahead, Fairbairn,” Larkin said.
“Can you come to engineering? I would like to share My findings.”
“Where are you?”
“I’ll guide you. Where are you?” Fairbairn asked.
“We’re in the Chair room, four compartments aft of the Bridge, we are on what I’m going to call ‘A Deck,’” Larkin replied.
