I promised you book characters, but I believe the location to be of equal importance, so... welcome to the Fireside Hills Open Air Festival!🤘 Located in a small UK village of the same name, it is sometimes referred to as "the heavy metal paradise." And yeah, you guessed right, it tends to rain a lot there :)

Heavy Metal Festival in the Rain by the Sea
This image shows a heavy metal music festival taking place during a rainstorm. Cliffs are visible in the background, with the sea in the distance, depicted in a realistic style.

There's a clifftop village called "fireside" with a huge festival on a precarious slope in the UK in your novel? 😅 I can't see anyone getting a licence for this now, was this set in the 80s? After Monsters of Rock at Donington in 1988, regulations have changed a lot to ensure safety in bad weather. It was a major news story in the mainstream and music and metal press at the time as Gn'R were only just hitting the big time which is why they were so low on the bill.
