Aliens (Xenomorphs) Although this character could really be considered probably more of a team than an actual character, I nevertheless think the xenomorph has its place among fiction's greatest characters. Based on the artistic design of H. R. Giger and put onto the big screen for the first time in 1979, the xenomorph defined a new level of horrific terror that has captivated audiences ever since. It is a force of cosmic nature by which there is no clear consensus of its origin but nevertheless is a danger to be feared due to its strong silicon based exoskeleton and fearless attitude. A villain combining the ultimate blend of the genres of horror and science fiction.
