Her hair was long when he found her. A thing which would not last.

While The Stranger recovered in the early days of her forced new begining, the pain of brushing her hair, with her head injury still healing was enough to make her call the whole thing off, and stop bothering with it altogether.

Her hair was quick to tangle however, and eventually it got so very knotted, that she gave up the idea of brushing out when she was healed, quite entirely.

Seeing that Winter with his hair at shoulder length, never seemed to have need of detangling; she took shears to her own, and has been cutting her hair like her brothers ever since.
