Björn Skaldar, a legendary Viking skald, was cast into a magical slumber after touching an ancient runestone in the 9th century. He awakens in 2024, confused by the modern world of technology and skyscrapers. Though out of place, the runestone grants him the power to channel ancient Viking warriors for strength.

As Björn struggles to adapt, a powerful corporation hunts him to harness his magic. Teaming up with a Viking-obsessed history professor and a skilled hacker, Björn must fend off modern enemies and uncover the secrets of the runestone, all while searching for a way back to his time.
