Isaac Cruikshank

Isaac Cruikshank (1764 – 1811) was a British caricaturist and illustrator, recognised for his satirical prints that often lampooned political and social figures of his time. His style is associated with Georgian-era caricature and political satire, employing exaggerated features and humorous compositions to critique contemporary events. Cruikshank primarily worked with pen, ink, and watercolour, producing hand-coloured etchings that were widely distributed as prints. His works reflect the vibrancy and biting humour of late 18th- and early 19th-century British visual satire.
