Snowminder

This fantastical creature is what we call a snowminder - a creature that can sense movement of snow and ice. They can feel an impending avalanche, can determine the depth of snow and will lead people away from dark ice. They've even been known to save people using the bulk of their bodies to generate heat to keep them warm. They are a protected species. Hurting or killing one of them is against the law. We've named this one Tock due to the large amount of ticking instruments on his body.
