It's an interesting question, but there's another dimension to it. Since art is largely subjective, if one person considers it art, does that make it art? Or is it only art if many people consider it art?

Or is it only art if you consider it art? 🙃

Personally, I'd consider it art. But only because you added the question to it.

Yes, I agree completely with the idea of art as subjective- I believe art is in the eye of the beholder 🤓. 

For me there are multiple layers to this question:
1. do you consider abstract modern art (like Rothko) to be art?
2. do you consider Ai art to be art?
3. if I (or Ai) make an imitation of a Rothko, is that considered art?

Okay, from a personal perspective.

1. No. It doesn't make me imagine anything, envision anything. ponder anything. At least in regards to Rothgo. Hence me only considering it art because you added the question.

2. I consider AI art to be AI art. I hold the two separate, which would still be art, but with a qualifier because it's through a different medium.

3. Without the question? No. But with an explanation of what it meant to you? Maybe. Art doesn't always have to be visual. Sometimes it can be mental.

Seeing through someone else's eyes can be art in and of itself.
