Jormungandr, the world serpent..

Child of Loki, the giant Wold Serpent Jormungandr.. Surrounding the seas of Midgard, destined to kill and be killed by Thor at the battle of Ragnarök... After a fierce and long battle Thor will ultimately best Jormungandr and kill him, but not before he got poisoned by the Giant Serpent. After killing Jormungandr, Thor is able to take 9 more steps, before ultimately falling to the ground and dying from the poison himself…
