Arthritic Trees by Travis of Bickley

All the arthritic trees with their bendy Cypress knees, and their gnarly fingers reaching to grasp what the disease cannot hold. Or only for a moment for the grip is no longer. And all the falling things, like all falling things, have no more spring to recoil into a summer of youth when limbs and branches fold inevitably in upon themselves, never to return to that openess of youth. But remaining forevermore, as their pleas scream to be free from the eternal winter of the arthritic trees.
