My references were Pink Floyd's "The Wall" album, George Orwell's "1984", Brutalist architecture, and military forces occupying other people's territories.
There was more than enough to get bleak, desolate and hopeless images. But incredibly orderly, no?

It's kind of like the 3rd.reich, but instead of blood red symbology, it's the whiteness that the star wars stormtroopers use, repeated in monumental arch. Well done.
