The first time Kyle lays eyes on Alicia, she's been jogging and is having trouble with her first-generation iPod prototype. (It's autumn of 2001, so those were the glitchy ones with moving parts you could hear spinning inside it.)
He honestly has no idea that she's the former star of a TV sitcom marketed toward tweens or how twisted and wrong the show was on all levels, and yes, I started writing about such things before Janette McCurdy wrote her memoir.
Alicia's redesign draws on the likenesses of Kaya Scodelario and Minka Kelly as before, but now the British actress and singer Ella Hunt's likeness is part of the inspiration as well.
