This is inspired by a 1933 song composed by Johnny Green, lyrics by Edward Heyman, based on a 1932 novel by the same name written by Max Miller.
The artists who have covered this include John Lee Hooker and Billie Holiday, whom I asked for in the prompt, but also Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, and Annie Lennox.
Go do a search for the title on YouTube or Spotify or wherever you find your music; I think you'll enjoy it.
The AI turned a street lamp, but instead, it tried to give Billie Holiday an umbrella, it seems ... that's oddly moving to me, as she had a very hard life. Perhaps the AI knows this and is capable of more empathy than we are ready to admit.
