Jenni was soon assigned to him by her manager, who preferred to give tasks directly, bypassing intermediate management levels. These are often difficult, complex, problematic, and require a lot of thinking, which must be done in addition to normal tasks and, of course, out of turn. That's why it's "good" when you have many bosses, each of whom can give tasks without regard to the others. 🙄
