This image was an attempt to depict one of the more obscure characters from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings who did not make it into the film series, for a community challenge I created.

This is Forlong the Fat, lord of the Gondorian region of Lossarnach. He came to Minas Tirith ahead of the siege in The Return of the King to help strengthen its defences, and his arrival was a great morale boost for those who saw him. He is said to be of enormous girth, hence his epithet 'Forlong the Fat', however that is not represented so well in this image result.

This image shows a stout, aged warrior from Tolkien's Gondor. He is clad in mail and a black helmet, holding a spear. The rendering is hyperrealistic with a focus on detailed textures and dramatic lighting.

Very unusual Unique. I do unusual creations also, so I appreciate this more than others would

I want to submit some of these to a creator friend who reimagines abstract into literal. This looks post-war and I think it would be a cool comic.
