- science fun time for all you logical Vulcans out there: Yes, the glowing "phosphorous" was not purple in the original story, but its green color presumably came from white phosphorus, which is extremely toxic to flesh and bone and also explosive/flammable.
- In the Hound Of The Baskervilles, the phosphorus was smeared all over a dog, and people touched it with their bare hands.
- Therefore, this fictional purple synthwave phosphorus is no more unrealistic than touching toxic real phosphorous with your bare hand and not dying a grisly death from osteonecrosis or whatever.
