The Armenian Genocide was carried out around the the same time as WWI by the Young Turks. Turkey still denies the genocide today. It is estimated that millions were killed, raped, and forced into sexual slavery. Part of the genocidal technique was forced death marches through the Syrian desert.

I think the Armenian Genocide is one of those atrocities that countries (in this case Turkey) can diminish only because of that country's power in current international politics.
On the art value of this...very impressive. I have a huge difficulty in creating a large number of "characters" in a scene doing anything that looks realistic. Tell me your prompt secret! I want to do one of those "medieval army attacking castle" scenes, for example.

I knew of the Armenian genocide but placing it in Syria led me to do a fact check. Thank you for driving me to revisit a darker chapter from the Twentieth Century. Your creation, to me, was educational as well as being meritorious as a piece of art. For this I thank you.
