The Dead Will Rise returns to the scene with Resurrection Blast

Back from a 2-year hiatus, power-death quintet The Dead Will Rise redefines the niche. Breakneck tempos, soaring guitars offset by window-rattling vocals by Fletch Vocker... it's all there. In an interview by Markus from Heavy Metal Over a Six Pack, Yern Andersen offered, "it's unlike an entire band to get writer's block. But block we did. It wasn't until the world went pear-shaped and shook things up to bring us together and force us to live in a studio. All we did was jam, craft and refine."
