It is believed that should you kill a Hornbill the rains will come with such force that it will literally wash the lands away. This belief is so strong that in times of drought, local rain doctors will kill a Hornbill so that it would remain.

Sadly this bird is on the endangered list and at last check, there is something like 1500 individual Hornbills still alive 😭
