Grigory Gluckmann

Grigory Gluckmann (1898 – 1973) was a Russian artist who also worked in France and the USA. His art style is characterised by a focus on the human figure, often depicted in intimate, atmospheric settings. Gluckmann's work is known for its refined, almost ethereal quality, with soft, diffused lighting and delicate brushwork that captures the subtleties of skin tones and fabrics. He primarily used oil paints on canvas, employing a technique that combined the academic traditions of Russian and French art with a modern sensibility. His work is associated with the School of Paris, where he contributed to the Post-Impressionism and early Modernism movements.
