The Vasuthant is a shadowy, undead abomination, appearing as a spherical cloud of impenetrable darkness with black tendrils reaching from its opaque core. These creatures feed off the positive energy of living beings, using their improved grab ability to initiate an enervating crush attack. Victims grappled by a Vasuthant take damage and Strength damage each round, eventually leading to death if reduced to 0 Strength. Vasuthants heal by absorbing the Strength they drain from their victims. They have several special qualities, including blindsight, darkvision, immunity to acid, cold, and light, resistance to fire and electricity, and the ability to trap light, creating a 60-foot radius of shadow that provides concealment
