One of my Cats - Buddy - crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 1pm today, October 13th 2023.

She left peacefully in the familiar surroundings of Home to the sound of Blackbirds singing as I held her and kissed her paw. I looked in her eyes and told her I loved her as she began her journey onwards with the aid of one of the kindest and empathetic Vets I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful she brought her back home to us.

No more pain. Thank you for letting me earn your trust these past few years after such a rough start in life. I’m glad you chose me and allowed me to give you a loving home and look after you. It’s not lost on me that 2 broken souls became such good friends and helped each other heal, always happy to see each other.

I will miss you so much more than I can express. The pain I feel right now just reminds me how much I love you. I just need a little time - the one luxury you no longer sadly had. But Daddy will see you on the other side in due course.
