She used to be the star of the stage, the one who captivated the audience with her beauty and talent. She had won awards, acclaim, and admiration from fans and critics alike. She had everything she ever dreamed of: fame, fortune, and love.
But time was cruel to her. It took away her youth, her charm, and her voice. It took away her roles, her opportunities, and her relevance. It took away her husband, her friends, and her happiness.
Now she sits in the dark corner of the theater, watching the rehearsals of the new generation of rising stars. She sees them perform the same scenes she once did, with more passion, skill, and grace than she ever had. She hears them sing the same songs she once sang, with more power, range, and emotion than she ever could. She feels a pang of envy, regret, and nostalgia in her heart.
She knows she has nothing left to offer. She knows she is just a shadow of her former self.
She is a forgotten actress, a faded star, a lost soul.

this reminds me of my favorite movie All about Eve. Love the details and the way you use light and shadow!

I feel with someone this beauty, she never lets anyone take her spark without a fight. But this is wonderful!
She is experiencing what tends to come to all of us!!! perhaps she will find a new niche in her life...fitting for her advancing age!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
The stars, despite everything..., never stop being what they are, stars, so they will never lose their shine. Even though the world is not able to see it. 💕
And yet, a lone fan admires her still, from afar. Unable to work up the courage to ask for an autograph, but wishing they could make her understand the impact she had, the importance she has, even more now that she's a little less untouchable, a bit more human and accessible...
Maybe next time, the fan thinks, tucking the glossy photo carefully back into their messenger bag and leaving the theater.
