Another Waterfall In The Jungle 😊🐒🐒

Another waterfall along the trail that leads us into the jungle where the red howler monkey lives. Two friends from Sweden and I are searching for the red howler monkey in the thick jungle. It has been raining heavily for the past few hours. That’s usually how it is in the neotropical rainforest: a spell of sunshine followed by a spell of heavy rain.

The red howler monkey lives on a forested mountain; with the rain, the ground has become a bit slippery. So we’ll have to be careful.

As I’m uploading this photo, we can already hear the howls of the red howler monkeys, since they’re in their mating season and the females of the species tend to make guttural noises to alert other females of their kind 🐒🐒🐒😊😊
