Incredibly poignant work. It’s interesting to see the emotional manifestation conveyed visually. Cheers for you doing this - I hope it’s  beneficial. I have tried and tried to convey my REM Stage Behavioral Disorder on Nightcafe with unsatisfactory results. Maybe because it’s happening less because I spend my sleeping hours making AI art and not doing my crazy sleep shit. I get about the same amount of sleep, and because of Nightcafe, my wife now sleeps better. 😂

Wow thank you so much for sharing, and for taking the time to see the deeper meaning in my work too! I'm finding Nightcafe really helpful so far, it's a good distraction and it really helps being able to express what's going on in my head. I'm glad your wife sleeps better now at least! I think it's impossible to ever be 100% satisfied with the results when you're trying to express something so personal using AI, or any art form really, but if it benefits you in any way then it's definitely worth it!  I don't know much about REM stage behavioural disorders, so I don't know if they're something that can improve or if they're untreatable, but if improvement is possible then I hope you can reach a point where you can have restful, undisturbed sleep some day :)

No it’s something I have to live with. Medication can only eliminate REM stage of sleep altogether to keep me from jumping out of windows because I think I can fly (I have advanced motor skills in the deepest sleep stages therefore hallucinate and act out my dreams every night). But not having REM sleep means your not getting that body/mind restorative sleep. So I take my chances. It’s pretty benign in the big scheme of things but I do crazy shit every night that unfortunately keeps my family on high alert.  

But on a bright note, Nightcafe and creating art is the da bomb!!!!!  Here’s to us and our healing art 🙌🙌
