anger is better than depression; our culture gets scared of anger but anger placed rightfully without hurting anyone is actually better for us than depression, if we can rise out of the anger into more frustration and then from there into hopefulness.

A good thought behind this. I got no solution other than perhaps creating a collage physically and using it as a seed image in an SDXL mode. Myself, as an artist, I had years ago painted something with a similar idea - a little boy whose cast shadow overlaps the portrait painting of his grown self, mouth gagged, menaced by a female predator in the form of a sculpture.
