The First Red Mini Moke (1966)

The Mini Moke, a lightweight vehicle designed for off-road use, was created by British Motor Corporation (BMC) in the early 1960s. The car was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis, who also designed the classic Mini, and was produced by BMC and later British Leyland. The first red Mini Moke was introduced in 1966, two years after the car's initial release (in 1964). This bright red color was a popular choice among buyers and added to the car's fun and playful personality. The Mini Moke also became a popular choice for beach buggies and other recreational use, thanks to its compact size and durable construction. The BMC later became part of British Leyland and then Rover Group, which continued to manufacture the Mini Moke until production ceased in the early 1990s (year 1993).
