Magnadenta Granditalpa, more commonly referred to as a great tusked mole, is one of the largest mammals within the Nyrinian region and is the largest subterranean mammal of the region. Found within the forested and mountainous regions of Nyrin, this behemoth of a creature stands roughly four feet tall at the shoulder, six to six and a half feet long from nose to rump with a two to two-and-a-half-foot tail, with each foot containing six digits that terminate into claws that reach up to slightly over seven inches in length each. It is theorized that the extra digit of the tusked mole on each foot is due to higher-than-average levels of testosterone present during development as this hormone plays a vital role in the development of fingers and bones. The defining characteristic of this animal though are the overly developed and highly prominent central incisors located permanently outside of the oral cavity of the great tusked mole.

These teeth are extremely important to the mole and serve several diverse but critical roles in its day-to-day life including burrowing, hunting, trapping, moving large objects, carving through extremely hard obstacles, envenomation (the Great Tusked Mole is the only venomous mammal in Nyrin), mating rituals, and more. These two teeth also never stop growing, but daily use helps to shave them down and keep them to an average length of twelve to thirteen inches, although this can vary slightly depending on the time of the year. During mating season, the males have an increase in testosterone, which stimulates tooth and claw development within them, resulting increased growth of the incisors and claws.

These creatures are solitary animals, preferring to live away from one another, so when mating season arises the male will tunnel great distances to locate a mate, so the increase in claw and incisor length allows for more efficient tunneling, thus allowing a male to potentially find a mate faster other competing moles. If two males do encounter one another during this time they will typically engage in a form of courtship display for the female, displaying their large claws and tusks while also standing up as tall as possible and flexing to appear as large as possible. It is normal for the male with the largest claws and tusks to win in this physical display. These moles rarely become aggressive with one another, with one almost always preferring to surrender than to engage in physical combat.
