Exodus: a Visual Short Story (Part 8 of 9) - Big City Scarecrow

So we arrived in Big City and took what once shoulda been Main Street or sumpin', cuz 'twas very large and big.

Crumblin skyscrappers were everywhere, and in the distance I saw the immense pillars of the monorail, so high they perched the clouds. I wanted go there and see it cuz I never saw the mono in my whole life, but folks said absolutely not!

Under the pillars lived mutants, people like Cullen, that's what was being said around -- well before the Bomb, since the toxic accident of many years past.

"Hey, what's down there?" said someone.

Scary it was. Some crazy body had collected rags and metal scraps and had built a scarecrows smack in the middle of the street.

'Twas strange, and a bit funny. But more strange than funny, so we gave it a wide berch and started searchin' a place to lay down for the night.
