Alexander the Great, born in 356 BC, was a Macedonian king and military genius who created one of the largest empires in ancient history. He became king at the age of 20 and embarked on a conquest that saw him defeat the Persian Empire, Egypt, and much of the known world. His military strategies, including the innovative use of the phalanx and cavalry, were groundbreaking. His empire stretched from Greece to Egypt, encompassing Persia, Asia Minor, and into India.

Beyond his military achievements, Alexander was a student of the philosopher Aristotle, and he played a pivotal role in spreading Greek culture throughout his empire, a period known as the Hellenistic era. Despite his early death at the age of 32, his legacy and influence on history persist to this day.
