I say:
Your shirt looks
like the exhaust plume
Of a starship
which has become
momentarily transparent
due to its conversion
into anti-matter for the jump
to light speed,
and here we are,
inside that ship looking back
through the hull,
invisible as well, strapped
into our seats wondering
about death.
Or maybe a spider
that’s trapped
behind the concentric rings
of its own web.
And you say:
I like how black the black is.
It’s very black.

:) brilliance ...both your render and Bobby's words....I wonder what Bill would think of Bobby's 21st century penmanship...AI has been living Bobby's words for a few years now....he may even be absorbed into open source by now lololol
Oh I Love This, Agi! It so fits the poem! Of course you can publish it. It's already published online. If it hadn't been published online I wouldn't want it here because journals want poems that have never been published anywhere... Thanks for asking, and for thinking of using it as a prompt! I want to try it too! : )
