The Masked Magician: Artavious Brendenmeyer

A classically trained spellcaster that adored magic to a nearly fanatical degree. Those that practiced the arcane arts around him were always surprised at how quickly he learned new magics and how strong his connection to the heart of the arcanum had grown, in such a short time. It was discovered that his mother had been the conduit witch in a coven that was charged with protecting the arcane weave, which allowed magic to flourish in worlds where it normally would not reach. Her rituals had lasting effects on her, and her ability to invoke mana and other forms of magical energy were passed on him. She suddenly vanished after a nearly cataclysmic battle with and eldritch horror, & he is now on a quest to find her. armed with nothing but a book passed down through their family, & some arcane weapons he created, he sets out on his journey.
