Getting to know an old friend

"Her next words were more deliberate, very direct, and as delicate as ripping off a band-aid.
" 'You knew me as Marco. I hope you might consider friendship with a tea lady?'
...
"Maxie and Nancy began sorting things out in the apartment while Marcia and I got started with an early dinner. Maxie's deck was the perfect setting for two old friends to begin catching up over a glass or two.
"'Some things never change,' she said.
"'Such as?'
"'You and me; talking shit at the braai again while the girls faff around inside.'
" We'd done quite enough damage to the meat. It was time to sit around the dining table. For my first family dinner in a very long time."

Beautiful image for so many reasons. Great narrative and great image to go with it. ❤️
Excellent, I knew it was Cape Town before I opened - what is it, is it the light? It could not have been the mountain only because there would be similar mountains to what is shown here in other town/countries
