Manduhai, Queen of the Mongols

One of the glorious queens of Mongolia was Queen Manduhai. She had to become the wife of a very young king and take on all the affairs of the reign. While her young husband grew and studied, she led warriors into battles and took care of the people. Queen Manduhai became famous for being able to make a truly good ruler out of her husband. She was mortally wounded during a palace coup, but she defeated her enemies and retained power. She died with a sword in her hands, like a warrior.
