Sunday night.
A beautiful scene for the end of the weekend.

The track is Sunday Night, a clean and elegant piano house piece.
If you have a little time, I’d be happy if you gave it a listen.

Coenraad Jacob Temminck named the dusky-legged guan (Penelope obscura) in 1815.Mathurin Jacques Brisson .He authored Ornithologie in 1760, where he established the genus Penelope for guans, drawing the name from Greek mythology—Penelope. "Obscura" (Latin for "dark") refers to its dusky legs and plumage..

Amazing image and what a fascinating scientific name.

Well done! They're both excellent! I would have had competition if you'd entered, though. 😉

Thank you! But I've never figured out how people judge or rate entries in challenges - which is why I'm mainly not going to enter but occasionally. Even if I had entered my "Penelope" (I loved that Latin name given!! 😂), it doesn't mean yours wouldn't come up well above mine. I'd rather choose different things that interest me and make those images. No competition or stress to enter or judge in time given, though Eogon has always provided lots for us.

Right now, I've been busy with a bunch of things I'm trying to do - none of them vaguely exciting - and in the evenings when I want to relax, I prefer doing puzzles or reading (my first love). I need a nice long break from NC anyway except for dropping in briefly.

I don't understand the judging and rating, either. Just chalk it up to the facts that folks have different tastes. I enjoy seeing your creations, but understand needing to take a break.

Enjoy your time away and hopefully I'll "see" you when you return.

@mossy These are the two I made but hadn't entered. My heart had been won by Darwin's foxes 🥰 and even though they're weren't as good, I decided to enter them.
