Without her helmet, clearly Nc didn’t feel it to be necessary. Athena was born from the skull of Zeus who was foretold to be strong enough to overthrow so he took the steps to try to prevent it. Born already clad in her shiny armor and carrying her spear - Athena is the goddess of tactical combat, wisdom, and even crafting! She was the only other one who stood firmly with Zeus when the God Killing monster Typhon approached Olympus. 

She rivals Ares since they both cover warfare and they compete. Athena is well known for not only her beauty, wisdom, but also her stories! Her stories including Perseus vs Medusa, the Trojan War where she competed in beauty vs Hera (the OG super model goddess) and Aphrodite (no further words needed for her),  Typhon, and her story involving Arachne.
