Rendezvous.

She felt a surge of joy as she spotted him, her beloved, her fantasy. He was the constant companion of her mind and today she hoped it would be magical. She had prepared a basket of delicacies with all his favourite flavours. She recalled her Grandmother’s wise words “He delights in my food, but he treasures my words and gestures that show him how much I adore him.”

She waved at him and saw his face light up with a smile. He made his way towards her. She felt her heart skip a beat as he reached her and embraced her warmly. He kissed her cheek and whispered in her ear “You look beautiful today”. She blushed and thanked him. She handed him the basket and said “I made this for you. I hope you like it”.

He opened it and his eyes widened with delight. He took her hand and led her to a quiet spot under a tree. They sat down and enjoyed their picnic, talking, laughing, and sharing their feelings.

She felt happy and content, knowing that he was the one for her.
