Outtake of the “Abandoned Buildings” challenge. Inspired by Nichitsu and other rural Japanese ghost towns. See the collection here:
In Japan there’s a HUGE issue with depopulation: people abandon towns and villages to move to the big cities -mainly Tokyo and Osaka- which are painfully overcrowded. Meanwhile, these lovely towns are literally left to decay, and look very similar to my pictures. If you’re interested, you can find many photos online. 🖤

Nice and eerie 💚 (not sure those words go together 😺 but that is how I feel when I see this )
Another masterpiece for your Japanese ghost towns collection 😍 very brutal, scary and yet beautiful piece again, you get confronted with all kinds of feelings visiting all these places 😍
Evocative... Nature wins again.
The picture evokes many emotions. Sadness, longing for the beautiful past world. Nature does not need people, it will take up any abandoned place 💚🌿💚
I've looking into some abandoned villages in Japan and I have to say, I now see how good your is collection!!! it really depicts those places so accurately. Great work Ria!!
