Even if often Cthulhu is represented with a single enormous eye in the middle of its "abominable head", in the original Lovecraft description (in "The Call of Chtulhu"), the Ancient God it is described as having "tentacles protruding from its head, each of them with three [spiky] eyes at the extremities."
