First prompt taken from the Bible verses in John 19 about Jesus' interaction with the Roman soldiers and authorities. Second prompt includes some words in English and some in Maori, because in the Stable models the language you use can have an effect on the imagery. As a Christian, I believe that Jesus came for all peoples, not just the Europeans who show up in so much of our religious art.
I like how he seems to be looking out to sea here.
'And the soldiers wove a crown of thorny branches and put it on his head, and they dressed him in a purple robe... So Jesus came out wearing the thorn-branch crown and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, "Behold the man!"'
