Gods or space travelers in the early history of Japan or what historians called the Jōmon period (縄文時代, Jōmon jidai) is the time between c. 14,000 and 300 BC, during which Japan was inhabited by a diverse hunter-gatherer and early agriculturalist population united through a common Jōmon culture, which reached a considerable degree of sedentism and cultural complexity.

in this period of history, influences exist that are unique to that period hard to find in other tribes from prior or after that period.
