Recreation of a UFO I saw as a kid, floating 10 feet above the tree line.

Me and a friend walking down an old Mississippi back road at night. The road had forests on both sides. All of a sudden what looked like a mini sun about the size of a house floated from one side of the road to the other and disappeared into the trees. Its surface moved like the suns surface but no light escaped it. it did not get brighter around us as it passed and did not hurt my eyes to look at it. It did not make a sound either and was moving about 5mph. As quickly as it floated into view, it was gone again.
